Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua now claims that Bomas of Kenya, a national heritage has been sold to a Turkish national.
Speaking on Sunday at the ACK Holy Trinity Church in Kitengela, Kajiado County, Gachagua noted that the sale of Bomas of Kenya was approved during a Cabinet meeting even despite objection from Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA).

“As we speak, Bomas of Kenya has been sold to a Turkish national. The Cabinet was informed, and I was the only one who opposed it. I stood firm and said this is a national heritage; we cannot sell it,” he said
He continued by revealing that the sale also includes prison land and KCAA had challenged the decision as the sale would impact flight path.
“The people from civil aviation opposed it, but the President went ahead and sold it. We are on our own,” said Gachaua
“All prison lands have been sold. All prisons need to be relocated. Even churches built on these lands, including Catholic and SDA churches, will be demolished,” he continued
The news comes days after President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga entered into a political pact which has since drawn mixed reactions.
