Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has ordered the arrest and dismissal of a Chief in Nyeri who was busted drinking during his tour of the region.
Speaking on Saturday from Tumutumu village, the Deputy President without calling names called out the Chief for drinking during official hours and during his visit in the area.
The Deputy President continued by mocking the Chief’s behaviour and his role as a public servant who is setting a bad example to people especially the young generation.

Gachagua then ordered the County Commissioner to find his replacement as he warned administrators against working while under the influence of alcohol.
“Hapa County Commissioner utatafuta Assistant Chief.
The news comes at a time when the Deputy President has launched a war against illicit brew in Central Kenya region urging administrators to lead in the destruction of such joints.
