Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has warned Mt. Kenya region against President William Ruto’s tactics of splashing cash ahead of his tour of the region.

The former Deputy President continued by calling on the residents to take the cash and use to pay off their debts but warned them against taking it home terming it ‘cursed’.
“Don’t worry. Get ready, money is coming in bags. Take it, but don’t go home with it; it is cursed. Eat that money at the market. Do not mix it with the money you already have. If you have a loan with a shylock, use that money to pay it off,” said Gachagua
“If you are going to listen to lies, ask for a hefty price because lies are a bad thing. Don’t accept Ksh.200, listening to lies starts from Ksh.3,000. Women ululating is worth Ksh.10,000 and clapping is Ksh.2,000. Laughing in Ksh.5,000.
All that, needs around Ksh.20,000 to Ksh.30,000. President Ruto, get your finances in order and bring the money we elected you for free,” he added
Following his impeachment, Gachagua has been a torn in the flesh for the government and most importantly President William Ruto who has not stepped a foot in the region for five months now.
According to experts and other leaders, the region has since moved away from the President as he called on the Head of State to develop other tactics if he seeks re-election in 2027.
