President John Mahama of Ghana has landed in the country 28 days after he met President William Ruto at his Kilgoris home.
Confirming the news was Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah who said that he was in the country for the African Union Summit on Reforms.

“Welcomed His Excellency John Mahama, the President of the Republic of Ghana, as he arrived in the country for the African Union Summit on Reforms. This summit presents an opportunity for African leaders to engage in meaningful dialogue, address critical reforms, and chart a transformative path for sustainable development across the region.
Appointed as the AU champion for Institutional Reforms in February 2024, President William Ruto who hosts the meeting, is responsible for guiding efforts to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and responsiveness of the African Union’s institutions including strengthening the AU’s capacity to address continental challenges and achieve its objectives.” said MP Kimani Ichung’wah
The meeting a perfect opportunity for President William Ruto to lobby for the candidacy of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for the AUC chairmanship position.
