Email service provider Gmail has confirmed that the company is here to stay amid allegations that it was sunsetting its services.
Through a fake circular, the company will close down its services come August 1st, 2024 and as from the day of publish, Gmail will no longer support receiving, sending and storing emails.
The statement continues by saying that the decision was reached due to the evolving digital landscape and its commitment to providing high quality services, innovative solutions to meet the needs of there users.
The statement follows news that billionaire Elon Musk is developing Xmail, an alternative to Gmail. The news exited many who can’t wait for the service to be launched.
