Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi has confirmed that moving forward, he will not participate in any harambee as it has been used to distort the good course.
The statement by the legislator follows an observation and complain by Kenyans as to how politicians dish out millions during harambees when millions are struggling to make ends meet.
“Going forward, I’ll not participate in any Harambee because it has been used to malign and disparage the good course-let the it be banned.

Thus the current happenings in the country calls for introspection and consequently, I’m taking a sabbatical leave from public engagements.” said the Legislator.
Sudi also denied accusation by Senator Boni Khalwale on his recent 20 million contribution saying that the amount was the total contribution collected by the church from the harambee.
“To the Dr. BKhalwale; all my wealth have been through sheer hard work. But some rely on sorcerers for overnight riches. In reference to the harambees that I have been attending, which has raised much furore, at no given point, have I contributed Ksh 20m as alleged.
As a matter of fact, the amount in question was the entire cash raised in the said harambee. Kweli mtoto wa maskini akipata ameiba.Haidhuru Mungu si athumani.” he said
