Edna Kerubo’s story of resilience was shared on Citizen TV with the 23-year-old confirming that she is on the brink of dropping out of school is she fails to raise the necessary funds needed.
In order to meet her daily demands and that of her family, Kerubo has been forced to attend classes during the day and hawk groceries at night.
Her story depicts that of many struggling students in Kenya who are forced to undertake side hustles to raise the required fees. The situation is further worsened when such students are denied HELB funds.
