The government through the Ministry of Education has released Ksh 35.3 billion to schools as confirmed by Basic Education Principal Secretary Dr Belio Kipsang.
Speaking as he commissioned four classrooms for grade Nine at Moi Forces Academy, Nairobi, the PS noted that the the money is available at al school bank accounts and will be distributed to Junior and senior schools.

“Basic Education Principal Secretary Dr Belio Kipsang today commissioned four classrooms for grade Nine at Moi Forces Academy, Nairobi.The Ps announced that the government through Ministry of Education has disbursed Sh35.3 billion to schools and that the money is now available at schools banks accounts.
He said out of the Sh35 billion,15 billion will fund Junior schools and Sh14.3 will go to senior schools while Sh4.6 billion was directed to primary schools.” said Ministry of Education.
The news follows threats by school head that operations will soon grind to a halt if the government fails to dispurse the item in question.
