The office of Kisii Governor Simba Arati was on Monday surrounded by GSU officers during a raid targeting his office.
Also raided by the officers was his other office at Ajira Centre which is used as an ICT training center for the county.
It is not clear why the security personnel were at his offices but other officers were deployed around the county.

Speaking to journalist, the Governor accused Interior CS Kithure Kindiki of using GSU officers to intimidate him. According to the Simba Arati, cartels have ganged up to fight him.
The news comes a day after the Governor confirmed intelligence reports that the police wanted to raid his Motonto’s home during the night as he urged them to come during the day.
Shortly before afternoon, the GSU officers left the premise as he addressed the media on the activities at his office.
