Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has slammed offensive chants witnessed on Sunday during their scoreless derby against Manchester United.
During the clash, chants targeting Phil Foden’s mother could be heard from Manchester United’s end leading to widespread condemnation especially from Pep Guardiola.

Addressing the media, Guardiola noted that those involved lacked class and integrity and should be ashamed for their actions.
“Chants against Phil Foden? Lack of class. I don’t understand the mind of the people involving the mum of Phil” he said.
“It’s a lack of integrity, class, and they should be ashamed” he continued
The incident has seen an online debate on matters respect and sportsmanship with many condemning it saying it has no place in modern football.
