Health CS Susan Nakhumicha has on Saturday ordered the transfer of Matisi OCS over rising cases of insecurity in the area.
Speaking on Saturday, the Health CS who lacks the power to make such an order noted that the current regime uses the one government approach that gives her the power and report back to the relevant CS.

“We are using the one government approach. That means that when I stand here, I’m representing President William Ruto’s government and I am ordering the transfer of Matisi OCS. If the county commandant is here or wherever he is, let the message reach him that the CS has said that by tomorrow, the Matisi OCS should be out of here. I will just go and report to my colleague Kindiki the action I’ve taken.” said the CS
This month, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua ordered the arrest and replacement of a Chief in Nyeri after he was busted drinking during his official visit of the county.
According to the Deputy President, the action by the Chief is unacceptable especially at a time when the government is intensifying the war against drugs and alcohol.
