The High Court has issued orders directing the Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja to reveal the whereabouts of Wajir MCA Yussuf Hussein Ahmed within 14 days.
Issuing the orders was Judge Chacha Mwita who also called on the petitioners to serve the respondents with the necessary information within seven days.
“An order is hereby issued directing the Inspector General of Police to within 14 days disclose the whereabouts of the 3rd Respondent, Yussuf Hussein Ahmed.

Respondents and Interested Parties will have 7 days after service to file their written submissions also not exceeding 10 pages each.” read the court orders.
In the case LSK, Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi and the MCA are listed as first, second and third petitioners respectively.
At the same time, the Police IG, DCI, DPP and the Attorney General have been listed as respondents. Independent Police Oversight Authority (IPOA) has been enjoined in the case as an interested party.
The Wajir MCA had gone missing following his abduction on 13th September 2024 along Enterprise Road in Nairobi before a decomposing believed to be his was discovered in Lake Yahud.
After undergoing DNA testing, the family confirmed that it was not his body raising questions as to where he could be five months later.
