President William Ruto has suffered another major setback after the High Court termed that the deployment of Kenyan police to Haiti is unconstitutional.
The ruling follows a successful appeal made to the court by Third Way Alliance party leader Ekuro Ekot challenging the rational behind the mission.
Issuing the order on Friday was Justice Enock Mwita who noted that as per the constitution, the National Security Council has no mandate to deploy police officers outside the country.
He continued by saying that the country has no agreement with Haiti that proves that they should send its police officers for peace mission.
