How to check your 2024 KCSE results

The much awaited 2024 KCSE examination results have been released on Thursday morning by Education CS Julius Migos Ogamba after briefing President William Ruto at State House, Nairobi.

A total of 965,501 registered and sat for the examination indicating a 6.89% increase compared to 903,260 candidates who sat for the exams in 2023.

Candidates are now able to check the results by visiting the official KNEC portal results.knec.ac.ke and enter their respective index numbers.

Below is a breakdown of how to check the 2024 KCSE examination results

  1. Access the results using the link results.knec.ac.ke
  2. Key in your registration number and any one of your registered name(s) in the spaces provided.
  3. Click on the ‘View Results’ button and the results will appear on the screen

A total of 10 subjects recorded a drop in performance compared to 2023 and female candidate better than their male counterpart in several subjects. Male candidate outperformed females in 23 subjects.

KNEC has also made an observation that for the first time in the examination history, the number of registered female candidates was more than that of of the male candidates.
