CS Moes Kuria has declared his support of Governor Kawira Mwangaza who has been impeached by Meru MCAs.
“I stand with Governo4 Kawira Mwangaza. This is an evil scheme by someone who thinks that the only way to be a Mt Kenya Kingpin is to bring down other leaders not to solve the problems of our people who are getting desperate by the day. History will vindicate me” he said

The statement by the CS comes barely weeks after he called on Mount Kenya leaders to let other counties the opportunity to impeach their governors unlike what was witnessed last term Kiambu made history by becoming the first County impeach their governor in the country.
“In the last tern, Kiambu County from Mt Kenya region made history by becoming the first county to successfully impeach a Governor. In this term Meru County In Mt Kenya region is determined to become the first County to successfully impeach the Governor.
Unless impeachment has something to do with the soils, altitude or climatic conditions, it is necessary for Mt Kenya region to give other regions an opportunity to impeach their Governors in the spirit of inclusivity, diversity and national cohesion. My two Cents,” he said
On Wednesday it was joy and jubilation for Meru MCAs who came together and in unison voted in support of the impeachment motion.
