The family of 22-year-old social media influencer Peter Muteti is appealing for help after he was allegedly abducted on Saturday outside his apartment in Uthiru, Nairobi.
Muteti was allegedly abducted at around 9am by four armed men with one of them being in full uniform. A witnessing speaking to the media revealed that two armed men jumped out of a moving vehicle, bundled him inside a vehicle of registration number KCF 035M before speeding off.
After the incident, his mobile phone has gone off and has remained unreachabled. According to Peter Muteti’s girlfriend Mary Wambui, he was living in fear after he received threats on X.

This after he posted a picture of President William Ruto causing concerns among users, a picture he deleted during the day shortly after posting it.
“Friday asubuhi there were suspicious men aliona, ikafanya hadi adelete that post juu alikuwa na uoga, so it is true alikuwa anathreateniwa,” said Wambui
The family has since reported the matter to Kabete Police Station pleading with the police to scrutinize the CCTV footage outside the apartment.
“We appeal to the DCI, to the Kenya Police. We understand that Peter has been vocal on Twitter; maybe he could have done wrong, but we believe there is a due process. He should not be hidden—he should be produced in court,” said Muteti’s Cousin Christine Kendi
