A meeting between Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has Kenyans talking about the Deputy President position.
This follows rumors that the DP Rigathi Gachagua will be impeached by the Senate and his position will be filled come Friday this week.
On Wednesday during their meetng, Kang’ata revealed that they discussed on matters national cohesion and the progress we have made as a country under devolution.

“The Right Honourable former Prime Minister Raila Odinga invited me this morning for consultations.We had a good discussion on national cohesion and the progress we have made as a country under devolution.” he said
Other leaders who had also be rumored to be possible candidates include Kirinyaga and Homa Bay governor Anne Waiguru and Gladys Wanga respectively.
