Lang’ata MP Hon. Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o is among five members of ODM who have been expelled from the party.
The announcement follows a meeting held between National Executive Committee (NEC) , ODM party leader Hon. Raila Odinga and chairman John Mbadi after looking into their conduct.
The other four include Hon. Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Sen. Tom Ojienda (Kisumu), Hon. Gideon Ochanda (Bondo) and Hon. Caroli Omondi (Suba South).

“The NEC has resolved to expelled from the party Hon. Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Sen. Tom Ojienda (Kisumu), Hon. Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Hon. Felix Odiwuor (Lang’ata) and Hon. Caroli Omondi (Suba South) for defying party position and gross misconduct.” said ODM
Others including Hon. Paul Abuor and Hon. Mark Nyamita appeared in person before the committee and were in turn fined Ksh 1 million each which will be paid in six months.
“The Hon. Paul Abuor and Hon. Mark Nyamita who appeared in person before the Disciplinary Committee and explained reasons for their actions were reprimanded and fined a sum of Ksh. 1M each to be paid within sixty days.” said ODM
Also confirmed by the party was the revocation of Kisumu MCA’s Hon. Caroline Opar, Hon. Kennedy Ajwang’, Hon. Peter Obaso and Hon. Regina Kizito and in turn the party will hold grassroot nomination with the date yet to be announced.
“Nominated MCAs in the Kisumu County Assembly Hon. Caroline Opar, Hon. Kennedy Ajwang’, Hon. Peter Obaso and Hon. Regina Kizito will have their nominations revoked.
Party Grassroots elections will be held early next year on dates to be determined by the National Executive Committee (NEC).” said the party
