John Matara, the prime suspect in the murder of Starlet Wahu will remain in custody for seven days to pave way for investigation.
Issuing the orders was Makadara Law Court Senior Resident Magistrate Mercy Kivut who said the period will allow prosecution to investigate the incident.
Also ordered by the court was that the prime suspect taken through mental assessment pending further dates with the court as he faces murder charges.

The arrest follows a video that saw Matara enter an Airbnb with the victim who they had met on a dating site. He was later seen leaving alone with visible injuries which he moved to Mbagathi Hospital for medical treatment.
Several ladies have so far confirmed being victims or friends to a victim of the prime suspect who was accused of either stealing or conning his victims.
