The lawyer representing John Matara, the prime suspect in the murder of socialite Starlet Wahu claims that his life is in danger.
According Mr. Samuel Ayora, Matara was attacked by unknown people at the court premise as he headed inside Makadara Law Court.
He continued by challenging the DCI application to hold him for further seven days as they complete their investigations saying that being in custody risks his life as recently Matara was being forced out the cell by unknown people.

DCI confirmed before the court that they had submitted the investigative file to ODPP for further direction but the file was returned back with instructions on what areas to cover.
It was due to the new development that they were seeking more days to cover the pointed areas. The area pointed by the ODPP are meant to present a water tight case against the suspect.
The information is however contrary to the lawyer who claimed that 21 days are enough for the police to complete investigations.
John Matara was arrested at Mbagathi hospital where he had rushed to receive medical attention following the gruesome murder of socialite Starlet Wahu inside a Airbnb in Nairobi.
