Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives have arrested a police officer based at Kahawa West police station over extortion.
Corporal Abdi Kiano is accused of receiving bribe from a trader so as to allow her to continue with her illicit brew business without any form of interference from the police.

Abdi has since been locked up at Kilimani police station pending further direction on the matter on Wedneday.
“EACC has this evening arrested Police Officer No. 226374 Cpl Abdi Kiano based at Kahawa West Police Station in Nairobi for demanding and receiving a bribe from a local trader as “protection fees” to allow her to operate the business of selling illicit brew (chang’aa).
The suspect has been booked at Kilimani Police Station pending further action tomorrow, Wednesday.” Said EACC
