A bus belonging to Kapsabet Boys High School has on Saturday been involved in an accident at Patkawanin area along the Marigat-Kabarnet road.
At the time of the accident, the bus was on an academic trip in Baringo as confirmed by Baringo County Police Commander Julius Kiragu who said that rescue operations were on the way.

Also confirming the incident was the school’s principal Kipchumba Maiyo who noted that the bus was ferrying form two students who are safe even though some have sustained minor injuries.
“The information reaching the school is that one of our buses which was ferrying Geography students to Baringo got involved in an accident. The students are safe and some with minor injuries. Let us bear with the situation as we manage it,” he said
At the time of the accident, the bus had 61 passengers on board and a teacher.
The county government of Baringo has been assisting the accident victims with some being rushed to Kabarnet and Marigat hospitals for treatment.
