Ten people are reported to have sustained minor injuries as Kariobangi Light Industries goes up in flames nine hours ago.
Several businesses and two schools have been affected by the inferno whose extent is yet to be known as per preliminary investigation.
Revealing the details was Kenya Red Cross who said that firefighters from Nairobi City County and Kiambu County are also on the ground to contain it.
“For the last nine hours, efforts to contain the fire at Kariobangi Light Industries have been ongoing.
Several business premises and two schools have been affected, with the extent of damage yet to be determined.
Firefighters from Nairobi City County and Kiambu County Fire Departments are working to put out the blaze, which continues to reignite.
So far, 10 people with minor injuries have been attended to by the Kenya Red Cross in collaboration with St. John Ambulance.
Our teams remain on the ground to support response efforts.” said Kenya Red Cross.
