National courier Kenya Airways has confirmed additional flights from Nairobi to New York from four to five weekly.
The news was a celebration of five years milestone of 1700 flights to JFK Airport in New York as confirmed by KQ.
“Celebrating 5 years Milestones of 1700 flights and 72000KM to JFK Airport. Starting 29th October 2023, we offer you additional flights from 4x to 5x weekly from Nairobi to New York and Daily flights starting 04th December 2023.” said KQ

In 2018 Kenya Airways launched direct flights from Nairobi to New York becoming the first country in East Africa to do and eighth in Africa behind South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Cape Verde, Ethiopia, Senegal and Morocco.
This was after the airline was awarded by US Federal Aviation Administration category one status in 2017 and JKIA was also awarded Last Point of Departure status.
