Kenya Airways has temporarily suspended flights to Mauritius effective immediately following urgent cyclone warning issued by government weather department.
The decision by KQ to suspend flights also follows the closure of Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU).

The cyclone class 3 is expected to hit the islands of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean and probably other neigbouring countries starting today as revealed by Kenya Airways.
On there part, Mauritius government has only issued a warning about the cyclone and the its impacts but has not confirmed when it is expected to end.
Through a statement, KQ apologized for any inconvenience caused as it reassured it customers that their safety is there top priority including that of its staff.
They also promised to issue an update on the same as new developments come in and when authorities issue clearance to resume flights.
