Somalia has summoned Kenya’s ambassador to Somalia after an aircraft allegedly violated its airspace without authorization from the authorities.
Authorities in Somalia noted that the aircraft with Kenyan registration sneaked into the country without getting consent from the Somalia Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) which is tasked with regulating air transport in the Horn of Africa.

SCAA further noted that the aircraft not only did it sneak into the country but also covered its registration as it landed in Kismayo town airport as confirmed by officials.
According to the officials, the aircraft was used to transport the President of Jubaland President Ahmed Islam Mohamed to Nairobi, Kenya thus violating the airspace. They are demanding immediate explanation from Kenya.
Despite the allegations, there has been no response from Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) or Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kenya despite the diplomatic row that it could bring to both countries.
It has since been established the President of Jubaland was scheduled to meet international organizations and diplomats to discuss matters peace and security in the country.
