The Kenya Kwanza coalition has passed a resolution to support former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s bid for the AU chairmanship position.
The coalition passed the resolution during a retreat in Naivasha that comprised of MPs from UDA and the entire Cabinet.
Speaking at the event, President William Ruto called out lawmakers absente to undertake their mandate to ensure government projects in their constituencies are going on as planned.

He also advised legislators to reach out to Cabinet Secretaries only when it is necessary so as to create a balance between legislators and the executive.
“We have agreed that CS’s will be coming to parliament when it is very necessary. Some information can be gotten through other channels in those ministries.” said Kimani Ichungwa
President William Ruto called the MPs to ensure that the affordable housing bill passes through the floor of Parliament so as to actualize the government’s promise to the people that will also provide employment to many Kenyans.
The news comes at a time when the High Court and Court of Appeal ruled the bill unconstitutional much to the delight of many Kenyans who have questioned the government’s priorities.
