Kenya Railways has introduced state of the art advanced two-way radios which are stationery audio amplifier placed in the locomotive.
The Motorola R7 portable radio has already received a positive feedback from the team due its water resistant feature and clear audio reception.
“In an effort to boost operational efficiency and enhance safety, Kenya Railways recently introduced state of the art advanced two-way radios known as Motorola R7 portable radio, as well as the Motorola DM4000e which is the stationery audio amplifier placed in train locomotives.

This acquisition marks a significant leap forward for KR’s Metre Gauge Railway (MGR) operations. Staff members from concerned departments got to clarify all queries during a familiarization training conducted at KR Headquarters by the devices’ suppliers.
