The Kenya Red Cross has come out to deny allegations that it has not made payments in regard to a tender floated by the Kenya Red Cross Society.
Through a letter, the NGO confirmed that the tender was indeed floated back in November 2022 for the publication and delivery of specified books.
The tender was however canceled in totality and the information shared to all bidders and no deliveries were made in regard to the tender thus not payment obligation stays on their side.

The letter by Kenya Red Cross was in regard to allegations by one Ms. Anne Joyce Abuga who claims that she was awarded the tender but [payment was not done.
According to the NGO, Ms. Anne on behalf of Peer Publishers and Consultants Ltd requested for the tender but since they were involved in the printing, she was denied the tender so as to pave way for other bidders are required by law.
“The decision to reject the request by Ms. Anne Joyce Abuga has attracted insults, threats and attempts to blackmail the organization and some key staff which continues to date.” said Kneya Red Cross.
