A Kenyan team in Bangkok has secured travel visas and made it to Hoi Chin Mihn Prison, the prison holding Margaret Nduta.
Confirming the news was Foreign Affairs PS Korir Sing’oei who said that Nduta even though deeply distressed, has been treated very humanly as the appeal filed by the government is set to he heard.
Korir further warned Kenyans against engaging in drug related activities as they dangerous and very costly in the end.

“Pleased to update that our team from Bankok finally secured travel visas and made it to Hoi Chin Mihn Prison in Vietnam where Margaret Nduta is presently held.We can confirm that while deeply distressed, Margaret is coping and has been treated humanely.
Though Margaret was not represented by counsel during trial, an Appeal filed a few days ago will be heard soon. In the meantime, we continue to engage our Vietnamese counterparts on other options towards resolving this difficult matter. Kenyans are strongly advised not to get tempted or lured into any form of drug or human trafficking. It is an extremely dangerous and costly misadventure.” He said
Even though the government is pushing to solve the issue, the new development will surely calm the hearts of the family of Margaret Nduta as they were helpless on the matter.
Kenyans have also been pleading for her release on social media even though the message has been clear for Kenyans to stay away from matters drugs.
