Kenya’s Sebastian Sawe won the men’s London Marathon on Sunday after crossing the line at 2:2:25, a marathon that was filled with stars to watch our for.
After crossing the 16-mile mark, the 29-year-old lifted his hands knowing very well victory was underway, a move that his rivals could not beat to.

Despite the win, Sawe fell short of beating the late Kelvin Kiptum’s record of 2:1:25 but alot is expected to come from the 29-year-old in the coming years.
Jacob Kiptum from Uganda who was tipped to win the marathon, came second and 70 seconds behind Sebastian Sawe even though he recently beat the sub 57 half marathon record.
Alex Mutiso came in third in a tight race after finishing shoulder to shoulder with Abdi Nageeye. After conducting intensive scrutiny, Mutiso was awarded the third place finish.
It was however a bad day for two time word record holder Eliud Kipchoge who finished 6th in the competition finishing in 02:05:25.
