Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has called out Siaya Governor James Orengo for promoting poverty in his county.
Taking on social media, the Senator called on the Governor to support farmer in Siaya to rear dairy cows.
“My brother, sii kwa ubaya, but please stop promoting poverty. Support the farmers of Siaya to rear dairy cows,” he said

The statement follows a drive by the Governor to distribute 215 improved cattles to farmer in North Uyoma as he emphasized hat agriculture is the pillar of the country’s economy.
“Presided over distribution of 215 improved cattle breeds to various farmers at Ragegni Primary school North Uyoma. Agriculture remains the pillar for our economic, industrial and commercial transformation .
I will ensure most of our resources go towards sectors and value chains that will change lives of people in the shortest time possible.” Said Orengo
Orengo has recently made headlines over alleged corruption in the country that hindered development for people of Siaya County. The allegations are yet to be confirmed.
