The Department of Health in Kilifi County has dismissed a member of staff who was caught soliciting bribe in exchange of a service.
The unnamed staff was caught thanks to a whistleblower who reported the misconduct before action was taken.

“The Department of Health has terminated the employment of a staff member who was discovered soliciting money in exchange for services to a client.
The department was alerted of this misconduct by a whistleblower and took immediate action.” read the press release.
According to the County Government of Kilifi, the incident serves as a clear message to all Kilifi County Government employees that corruption will not be tolerated and that any staff found will face severe consequences.
