Kimani Ichung’wah appeals court ruling declaring Azimio majority in Parliament

four Members of Parliament among them Kimani Ichung’wah have moved to the Court of Appeal to challenge a court ruling that declared Azimio majority in Parliament.

The MPs have since issued a warning that business will not be the same if the ruling stays.

“Four Kenya Kwanza MPs including Kimani Ichung’wah move to Court of Appeal to challenge decision declaring Azimio majority in Nat. Assembly, warn of operational paralysis if not stayed.” said Ali Manzu

The news follows a standoff in Parliament just the other day after the court ruling with those allied to the Azimio taking turn to occupy the majority seats.

They then issued a statement calling on Kenya Kwanza to obey court orders or else it will be business unusual especially after the just concluded AU elections.

Speaker Moses Wetangula was accused by the court of transferring MPs to Kenya kwanza side illegally before making the declaration at the floor of the house. His position as the Speaker and Party Leader of Ford-Kenya was also termed illegal.

Unperturbed by the ruling, Wetangula once again declared Kenya Kwanza the majority in the House raising questions as to whether the current handshake between President William Ruto and Raila Odinga will endure the test of time.
