Kimani Ichung’wah heckled by Kiambu residents for criticizing Uhuru

Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah was on Sunday heckled by Kiambu residents after he launched criticism against former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The legislator was speaking during a groundbreaking ceremony for two markets when the angry crowd could no longer take the words he was saying against the former Head of State.

According to Kimani Ichung’wah, former President Uhuru Kenyatta was responsible for bribing MCAs to insult him during public rallies.

He continued by accusing the former President with working together with Governor Kimani Wamatangi to derail development projects in the county.

“I have told you that Kiambu will develop at the pace the people want, not the one Uhuru and Governor Kimani Wamatangi want,” he said

The MP was immediately called out by the residents to stop calling the name of the former President and especially blaming him for the shortcomings of the Kenya Kwanza government.

Others begged to know what the current regime has against President Uhuru Kenyatta and that the sentiments are just a political stance to defend there failures.

Kimani Ichung’wah is among the very many KK leaders who have criticized the former President with other include Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Governor Wamatangi has been among key leaders from Central Kenya who have opposed some government projects. Kimani Ichung’wah also rubbished allegations that he was after the Kiambu gubernatorial seat.

“There is no day that I will answer those leaders that have been sent by the governor. If he wants to come and face me, let him come alone. I am not interested in that seat today or tomorrow,” he said
