Kindiki denies alleged fallout with President Ruto

Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki has dismissed allegation that he has fallen out with President William Ruto saying he has been away on holiday.

The second in command has been away from public since December and the absence was well noted during New Year’s eve celebrations in Kisii attended by President Ruto. Over the week he was no show during Piny Luo cultural festival graced by President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda.

During the recent visit by President-elect of Ghana John Dramani Mahama in Narok, the Deputy President was again absent raising more questions on his whereabouts.

Kindiki’s absence cemented allegations that there is an ongoing rift between him and the Head of State that would eventually lead to his exit as was the case with former DP Rigathi Gachagua.

“I am left with a few hours; my holiday is coming to an end and therefore I need to enjoy whatever is left and ignore everything else…completely.” he said

“I am glad the President allowed me a few days off. I feel so energised and I believe that this is the year that all of us will rally, support the President and take Kenya to the next level,” said the Deputy President
