Kirinyaga Woman Representative Jane Njeri has been airlifted to Nairobi for treatment after he was attacked by goons during a political function held on Tuesday.
Confirming the incident was Kenyans.co.ke who said that the MP was airlifted by Minet insurance company, a company that offers emergency services of such kind.
According to a source speaking to Kenyans, the goons had allegedly been sent by Governor Ann Waiguru, allegations that she is yet to confirm.

In a picture making rounds on social media, Jane Njeri could be seen sitted in a wheelchair with her hair shaved off as she made her way to a waiting helicopter in what appeared as head injuries she sustained.
Accompanying the Woman Rep. was Baragwi Ward MCA David Mathenge who also run away from the rowdy crowd and found refugee in their waiting vehicles.
Before the incident, both Njeri and Mathenge were planning to hold a presser on incidents of assault on disabled people by county officials.
“We had planned to talk about many issues, among them being the recent events where women and the disabled were beaten up by individuals in the County.
“We would like to assure anyone who was injured that we will not relent over this matter until when they shall have received justice,” said the Woman Rep.
