The Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) has demanded the resignation of MP Kimani Ichung’wa, Speaker Amason Kingi, Kamket, Sudi, Waluke, Kindiki and Murkomen.
According to the commission, the leaders are to vacate their offices following utterances supporting the abductions. Also mentioned is the Police IG Douglas Kanji who under his watch the abductions occurred.
The commission noted President William Ruto’s regime looks isolated each and every day leading to the arrest of pro-democracy advocates.

The news follows the release of six youths who who had been abducted on different dates and locations raising questions as to where they were and who was holding them.
The government through various bodies denied involvement into the matter with the police saying that there mandate involves making arrests and arraigning suspects in court as per the law.
Other leaders condemned the abductions calling for speedy investigation to bring to an end the existing tension between them and Kenyans.
Protests had been organized on Monday before their release but that did not deter those protesting to voice their complains. Several activists were arrested in Nairobi.
President William Ruto has been on record promising to bring to an end the cases of abductions raising questions as to why he did not condemn them in the first place.
