Lydia was arrested on April 29th, 2024 alongside her colleague Olivier Lufungula and detained at a military camp despite orders by the court to release them.
Speaking on Sunday, the family of Lydia noted the sleepless night they have endured praying that their loved one will soon be released and join them.
“We are praying. We are trusting in God but we need the government to come through and help us find a solution for this,” said the manager’s daughter Yvonne Mary Maneno
They continued by calling on the government to intervene on the issue saying that it was beyond Kenya Airways.
“We appeal to the government to listen to our appeal and take action that will secure the freedom of our daughter and her colleague,” said Lydia’s father
