The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is going after Morara Kebaso for filling nil returns despite recording a Ksh 186 million income from his five businesses from the year 2022.

The five business operated by the activist include Backtent Security Limited, Morara Properties Limited (also known as Blacksmith Morara Limited), Luku Fashion, Morara Home Furniture and Igrow Digital Enterprise.

According to the Nation, KRA issued him a notice indicating that he either recorded nil returns or did file the returns at all despite running several business and owning properties among other properties.

The taxman continued by confirming that the money in question was either transferred to Morara Properties Limited and Morara Home Furniture or to his personal account from year 2022.

It has also been revealed by KRA that the business received some of his income through M-Pesa transactions with some going to his personal accounts and others to his properties and furniture businesses.
