Residents of Langata have on Saturday demonstrated calling for a stop in the construction of affordable houses in the area.
Addressing the media, the angry residents noted that public participation was not undertaken as stipulated in the constitution.

They also cried over the disruption of water and sewerage in the area, services that risk staying the same for along time if the affordable houses are allowed to continue to completion.
Other noted that the plan of the structure will block light from coming through their houses as well as lack of privacy as those occupying top floors can easily look at what they do from above.
Video seen from the scene revealed an ongoing construction of the house, a project that will cost billions from taxpayers money.
An angry resident also called out the government saying the planned construction is a clear grabbing of land given its location.
