Luis Enrique has expressed confidence that his side can overturn Wednesday’s Champions League defeat against Liverpool in the return leg.
Speaking after the clash, he noted that his side was better than Liverpool and that the best player in Liverpool’s squad was the goalkeeper.
- Lyon boss Paulo Fonseca suspended for nine months by FLP
- Liverpool lead race to sign Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez
He continued by expressing confidence in his players saying that next week’s return leg may overturn last night’s 1-0 defeat.
“Comeback at Anfield next week? Of course, we can do it. We’re gonna do it”. he said
“The result is very unfair. They shot once, they scored. Their best player was the goalie. It’s a bit weird. I’m very proud of my team. We were far better than Liverpool” he continued
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will now be looking for two plus more goals next week when they travel to England for the second round of the last 16 of the Champions League.
