A Court Assistant based at the Makadara Law Courts has been arrested by EACC detectives demanding a Ksh 400,000 bribe.
Abdifatah Mahamud Hassan demanded the bribe so as to expedite the printing and issuance of court proceedings as required by the complainant.

“EACC has arrested Abdifatah Mahamud Hassan, a Court Assistant at the Traffic Registry, Makadara Law Courts, who demanded Kes.400,000 from the complainant with the intent that, in consequence, he would expedite the printing and issuance of court proceedings in respect to the complainant’s court file.” said EACC
The Court Assistant was arrested after receiving the initial payment of Ksh 50,000 and was taken to EACC police station for questioning.
“The suspect was arrested on Friday after receiving a downpayment of Kes.50,000 and was due to receive the balance when detectives pounced. He was taken to EACC Police Station for processing.” said EACC
