Members of the public have rescued a male infant of approximately one month before handing him over to the police in Lwala Kotiende, Bondo, Siaya County.
“A male infant aged approximately one month has been rescued by a member of public. The infant who was found abandoned at Ajigo Market on February 23, 2024 at about 2300hrs was later handed over to Police in Lwala Kotiende.” said NPS

Immediately after he was rescued, the police took him for medical check-up before he was handed over to the Bondo Children’ Officer.
“Police Station, who in turn escorted the baby to Bondo Sub-county Hospital for check up, before handing over the baby to the Bondo Children’ Officer.
The National Police Service appreciates members of public for their support and reiterates its committed to act in the best interest of the child.” said NPS
