Police in Kericho are holding a 27-year-old man who stabbed to death his wife at her parents’ home during a dispute hearing.
The Friday incident saw the man travel all the way from Borborwet to the wife’s place so as to attend a marital dispute that had risen between the two couples.
27-year-old Lonah Chepkemoi who is now deceased also left her marital home and headed to her parents to discuss their domestic issues.

It was during the meeting that the suspect went for the knife stabbing his wife on the neck forcing the parents to scamper for safety.
She was immediately rushed to Kericho County Referral Hospital for treatment but she was confirmed dead on arrival.
Detectives working on the case found the suspect in the hands of the area Chief but they were forced to fire in the air to scamper the angry mob that wanted to lynch him.
The news comes at a time when 16 women have been killed in the country in the last one month in recent released figures. The statistics saw women and lobby groups hold demonstration in 11 counties calling for an end to femicide killings in the country.
