The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has arrested a man caught vandalizing reinforcement bars along the Miritini-Kipevu road.
The Friday incident that was assisted by Axle Load Enforcement and Highway Unit (ALEHU) Mombasa, also saw the suspect arrested in possession of Mason’s hammer.
It has since been established that the suspect was last year arrested over the same offense and subjected to six months of community service.

He is currently colling off his heals at Changamwe police station pending his date with the court on Tuesday.
“The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), through the Axle Load Enforcement and Highway Unit (ALEHU) Mombasa, yesterday arrested a suspect vandalizing reinforcement bars along the Miritini-Kipevu road.
The suspect, found in possession of a Mason’s hammer, had previously been arrested for a similar offense last year and served a six-month community service order.
He is currently detained at Changamwe Police Station and will be arraigned on Tuesday.
