Manchester United and Sporting Director Dan Ashworth part ways

Manchester United has parted ways with Sporting Director Dan Ashworth as confirmed by the club through a statement.

According to Manchester United, the two have parted ways on mutual agreement as they thanked him for the supporting he gave during the transition period.

“Dan Ashworth will be leaving his role as Sporting Director of Manchester United by mutual agreement.

We would like to thank Dan for his work and support during a transitional period for the club and wish him well for the future.” read the statement.

The statement comes a day after the club suffered a 3-2 loss against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford condemning to another poor start of the season.

The news has also angered Sir Jim Ratcliffe who is not happy with last summer strategy after they spent around £3m to get Dan Ashworth from Newcastle.
