Manchester United reject West Ham proposal for Harry Maguire

Manchester United has rejected a proposal from West Ham to sign former captain Harry Maguire on a permanent transfer.

The proposal worth £20 million has been termed less than the current market price of their defender.

“Manchester United have rejected West Ham proposal for Harry Maguire out of hand.

Official bid was worth £20m, as called by David Ornstein — Man United want more than this to let Harry leave,” said Fabrizio Romano

Maguire lost his first place position in the club, a move that saw coach Erik Ten Hag move with speed and confirm Bruno Fernandes as his replacement.

Speaking after the announcement, Fernandes confirmed that Maguire congratulated him for the appointment and that they had a good moment together.

“Harry congratulated me on new captain election and he said he is really happy for me”.

“I understand his position is not the best at the moment. It has to be difficult for him but he had a great moment with me,” said Fernandes
