Manchester United set to sack Ruben Amorim

Manchester United are reportedly planning to sack Ruben Amorim as the club’s head coach and have lined up Unai Emery as his replacement.

The news follows the club’s recent fall from grace and struggle in the Premier League despite signing the Portuguese from Sporting CP, a club that he has been successful before joining the Premier League giants.

Amorim has not had the best of starts falling out with a number of top players including Marcus Rashford who joined Aston Villa on loan.

He has however defended his players and demanded a lot from them but the results have not been coming through leaving Manchester United in 14th position with 33 points.

Unai Emery who has been exceptional for Aston Villa, saw them join Champions League for the first time and have qualified for the round of 16.
