Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has issued a statement confirming that he has indeed suffered a new injury.
In the statement, Shaw noted how he though he had gone through his recent struggles and was on a positive path moving forward only to suffer a new injury which has been devastating to him.
“I really thought I had got through my recent struggles and was on a positive path going forwards, but unfortunately I’ve had a small setback. I’m absolutely devastated and it’s extremely tough to come to terms with reality at this moment in time.” he said

He continued by taking note of people who will be frustrated, angered and disappointed by the news but revealing that no one is undergoing more of that than him.
He continued by promising to do all that he can to come back better and help the club achieve it’s ambition this season.
“But what I can promise is I will do everything I can to come back better soon to help this club achieve its ambitions this season. Thank you to everyone for the support. It really doesn’t go unnoticed and I really do appreciate it.” he said
